Bio for Charity Huss
|
I am a conceptual artist. This means that my creations can be motivated by a concept, visual images, imagined scenes, narratives, commentaries or explorations of color. I use a number of different media to express different concepts. I have a degree in Fine Art from UC Berkeley, where I was encouraged to experiment.
My art work includes acrylic painting, figure sketching, Plein Air and Train Air painting and drawing, computer art, jewelry and mounted canvases.
My jewelry is made with Precious Metal Clay (silver and gold), and/or polymer clays and plastics. I also use these materials to create small mounted canvases I call "Wall Jewelry'. My art has been in exhibits and galleries locally and nationally.
I teach the after school art classes at Los Perales Elementary School, and I have been Curator at the Moraga Art Gallery for five years. Favorite artist: Richard Diebenkorn Favorite quote: "If you want your work to speak for itself, don't interrupt it."
